M3 is an inclusive dance and music programme aimed at teenagers with additional support needs, where the aim is to encourage movement, creativity and more importantly to make friends and have fun!
The programme is led by Caroline Bowditch, our amazing “Artist in Association”, a highly experienced performer, choreographer and dance teacher, who, along with Ninian Perry, Creative Director of Paragon, are assisted by trained, professional musicians and dancers.
M3 can run taster workshops to groups, which can accommodate up to 10 wheelchair users plus another 8 ambulant young people. Tasters generally run for about 2 hours with a break in between. The participant’s support worker or personal assistant is also welcome to attend, and join in!
M3 runs inclusive monthly workshops and intensive workshop weeks in school holidays that are open to all young disabled people. These workshops encourage all participants to contribute to the creation of a new piece of contemporary dance and a brand new music composition, concluding with a public performance.
Participants only pay £5 per workshop thanks to subsidy from Creative Scotland and Young Start. Paragon’s bursary scheme can provide FREE workshops if you need it.
NEW 2018 workshops:
Workshops will run from 12-3pm at Platform, 1000 Westerhouse Road, G34 9JW
