Over the last 7 weeks we have had the pleasure of carrying out our community-based placement with Paragon Music. Ninian, Charlotte, Fiona and all the practitioners were extremely welcoming throughout and we appreciated having the opportunity to learn more about this unique charity.

Paragon has an incredible community that has grown year on year through their programs, performances and workshops.

We had the opportunity to see the Make Music Move (M3) group perform at ‘Go Dance’ at the Theatre Royal, attend weekly ‘Beat It’ workshops and see some of Paragon’s school-based collaborations.

The musicians and dancers who kindly took the time to meet with us and discuss their experiences gave glowing reviews.

This placement highlighted exciting unconventional and cross-disciplinary methods of engaging participants and we were delighted to have been able to learn about the organisation’s social entrepreneurial drive and their philosophy of inclusive practice.

The participants and staff were open to participating and collaborating in our interventions which was greatly appreciated- as it added significantly to our learning and placement experience.

We look forward to attending more workshops and concerts before the end of our programme.

Thank you,
